Tyler Rose Invitational Players/Parents

On Friday, April 25^th I traveled to Eagles Bluff CC for pre-tournament preparation specifically for course setup to help you plan your tournament to maximize the quality of your experience.

I can assure you, this course and club is one the nicest venues I have ever experienced. It is an absolutely beautiful place with all tall trees and beautiful homes on the course.  You are going to love it.  I took five junior players specifically to play the course (three boys, two girls) to make sure the setup is fair but competitive.  This past summer, Eagles Bluff was a US Amateur qualifying site and has hosted professional events. I can assure you want to be in east texas this weekend at a special venue.

Depending on weather conditions, specifically wind I have listed where we will set the tee markers for the tournament. Please remember this is an invitational, Golfweek ranked event. That is per the TJGT FAQ section the same tees/yardage for ALL boys & ALL Girls. This is just like an AJGA Open event. We will give our popular etched, glass awards that light up to the following:  Boys 12-18   1^st -5^th,  Boys 12-15: Top Three Finishers, Girls: 12-18, 1^st -5^th.

you get there, it is so impressive.

Players & Parents,

The field is being finalized and we have a great weekend planned for you.  SPORTyler & TJGT know that you will enjoy the great tournament gifts, the food & great golf at an amazing venue.  Here are a couple of very important items to allow your tournament experience to be enjoyable and logistically simple.

1. Schedule of Events: Please, Please read all the notes and schedule of events on the tournament info page.  You can link to this page via our tjgt.com schedule page and then by clicking on info after scrolling thru to the Tyler Rose Invitational. All important tournament information is posted here.  It should answer the majority of your questions.

2. Directions:  Please allow extra time to find the course if you have not made the drive.  Eagles Bluff CC is a spectacular venue tucked into a beautiful setting in Bullard Texas.   It is very easy to make a wrong turn on the way up. Directions and the Eagles Bluff CC website is listed on the tournament info. page.

3. Dress Code:  Eagles Bluff CC is a private club and strictly enforces the dress code for players & spectators. There are NO JEANS/DENIM allowed and you must wear a COLLARED SHIRT.   Any player OR spectator not dressed properly will be given a chance to change before start of play or purchase clothes in the pro-shop.  Our TJGT family has been extended the invitation to Eagles Bluff and lets show them our first class operation and respect for their property/club.

4. Weather: Weather forecast looks great. Good idea as always to bring rain gear, umbrellas just in case.

5. Food & Drink:  Saturday lunch will start serving apx. 10:45 with the College Bound Membership Program and Coach Q & A starting apx. 11:15 while your eating.  The range will close apz. 1:10 pm Saturday. 

Sunday:  Only players will be provided a box lunch after the round to expedite the awards ceremony and travel return.   A beverage cart or two will be roaming the course each day and water coolers are stationed every two holes.

6. Morgan Stanley Member Services Tent:  TJGT sponsored by Morgan Stanley will launch our new member services tent on the range saturday. TJGT staff will be there to clean your clubs, shoes and answer any questions you might have about dining/social activities etc.  We are there to serve you in a PGA Tour experience.

7. Pairings: Coach Matt Glenn,  is the tournament director:    He will have the pairings posted on the website NLT 5 pm thursday.  Always check your pairing at registration as we always have last minute WD's. Any WD request or last minute questions can be directed to Coach Glenn. '

8. Food Sponsorships:  TJGT is honored to provide lunch for everyone on Saturday and lunch for players on Sunday. Also, we think you will be exicted about the tournament gifts.
