IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT INFO: UPDATED AS OF 12/10/08

16-18 Boys Division: 

All 16-18 Boys will play the Creenshaw Cliffside Course each day.  This division will be the Golfweek Ranked tournament. Only boys in the 13-15 division who have played up before and  capable, determined by TJGT staff will be allowed to play up into the 16-18 divison.  If you are a Boys 12-15 player and want to play up, plz contact Coach Monzingo @ 214 -493-6329 or email coachmonzingo@tjgt.com. TJGT needs to know early if you are to play up.

Historically, the Holiday Classic always draws college coaches to this event.  College golf is finished for the fall season and universities are out of school, therefore as many as 25 college coaches have been on the course at one time watching the boys and girls.

Boys 13-15 Divison will play on the Fazio Foothills each day.  This change is to allow many more boys to enter the tournament and have the opportunity to earn AJGA Nike Jr. All Star Exemptions. The top three finishers earn Fully Exampt Status on the AJGA Jr. All Star Division.  The AJGA has increased significantly the  Nike All-Star Exemptions for this division. Therefore, if your son is in the 12-15 division we will require him to play in this division for Barton Creek unless specifically approved to play up by TJGT Staff.

Once again, the boys 12-15  division will be on the Fazio Foothills all three days with the girls 12-18 division. The boys will be paired with all boys.

Only by special exception will a boy be allowed to play up into the Boys 16-18 division.   Please be advised the boys 12-15 division will not carry the Golfweek Ranking per Golfweek requirements. Only the 16-18 division will carry the Golfweek Ranking. The 12-15 division will carry the Jr. Golf Scoreboard ranking.

Start times apx. 0800 each day. Double tee time start off

                    #1 &   #10 for Boys 16-18.

Girls & Boys 12-15:    Start Times @ 0800 each day. DOUBLE TEE START OFF #1 & #10. 
  Course: Fazio Foothills all three days.

Shuttles will be provided from range to tees. Spectators can also transport players in their carts.  Players must be at starters tent NLT 10 min. prior to tee time for briefing. NO EXCEPTIONS. Penalty strokes will be awarded if late to briefing. Please plan accordingly. That means leave the range NLT 20 min prior to your tee time.

Spectator Carts: $25 per day @ Pro Shop. Carts are limited so please plan accordingly.  THERE ARE ONLY 140 CARTS AVAILABLE TO RENT EACH DAY. THIS SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR TWO CARTS PER PAIRING FOR BOTH COURSES.  SPECATATOR CARTS WILL BE RENTED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST IN LINE BASIS IN THE PRO SHOP.  Call pro shop if needed to reserve for handicaps.

Carts must be turned in at Pro Shop at the end of the round. No exceptions. Please inform Pro Shop that you have returned at end of the round. Thank You for your cooperation.

Weather Delays:  Any weather or frost delays will be handled closely between the TJGT Staff and Barton Creek Golf Professionals. Any updates to delays will be posted on the Tournament Scoreboard and updates can be obtained by calling the Pro Shop or asking a Tournament Director.   Pro Shop Number: 512-329-4653

Tee Times Posting: Tee times will posted on www.tjgt.com each day and a pairing sheet will be placed at the Barton Creek Main Desk. You may call the Barton Creek main number to obtain tee times if staying off property: 512-329-4000.

Tee times will be posted NLT 7pm CST each day on www.tjgt.com and at Barton Creek Main Desk.

Awards: Awards ceremonies will take place after each divison finishes and any playoffs are completed. Please plan on awards ceremonies fivehours after the LAST TEE TIME. 

COLLEGE COACHES: Please check in at Registration table to allow TJGT Staff aware of your attendance. You may Call TJGT President Dave Jones @ 817-707-8460 for any questions.   

 Late Withdraws:  Please call  Tour. Director  if you are withdrawing after tee times are posted ASAP. Their is a waiting list and other players/parents must be able to change travel plans if a tournament slot comes open.  Please review tour policies on rollovers & refunds. FOR THE HOLIDAY CLASSIC,  THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ONCE ONLINE REGISTERED FOR TOURNAMENT. THIS IS LISTED IN THE INVITATIONAL REFUND POLICY.  TJGT DOES NOT CANCEL TOURNAMENT PLAY UNLESS THE COURSE IS UNPLAYABLE OR AN UNSAFE WEATHER CONDITION EXISTS.
