TJGT Houston Metro Championship
Wildcat Highlands and Lakes
July 6-7, 2009

USGA Rules will apply unless otherwise stated here.

All TJGT Hard Card Policies are in effect for this tournament.
For both the Highlands and the Lakes courses, the following tee boxes will be used.
Boys 16-18 Gold Tees
Boys 12-15 Blue Tees
Girls 12-18 White Tees
All over-grown areas within the boundary of the golf course will be played as lateral hazard. In the absence of the red stakes or lines, please use the mow line as the boundary. Apply the lateral hazard boundary in the following priority: First: Red painted lines, second: red stakes, third: mow line.
The netting left of 18 lining the driving range also marks OB. You do not get relief fron the netting as it is the OB marker.
Please refer to Rule 26-1. You need to have some point of reference to apply rule 26-1c, dropping a ball keeping the pin, point the ball last crossed the hazard, and the drop point in a straight line. Remember, the margin of a hazard extends upward. On many shots, for a ball flying into a hazard without touching the ground, it becomes extremely difficult to identify the point the ball last crossed the hazard margin. You must play the next shot from the point you last hit the ball into the Hazard.
In case of doubt as to procedure, please refer to rule 3-3 until a rules official can be located. The competitor should announce to his fellow competitors, his decision to invoke Rule 3-3 and the ball with which he will score if the rules permit.
Electronic measuring devices are not permitted.
The TJGT allows 45 seconds for a player to play a shot. Please help us keep our pace of play to 15 min per hole, 4:30 per round.
Spectators are advised to remain on the cart paths during play. They may not assist in score keeping, rules’ decisions, interfere in a dispute, or give advice to players during play. Violations will result in a 2 stroke penalty to the player involved.
When you have completed your round, report to the scoreboard next to the Wildcat Banquet Room as a group without delay. There will be several tables for your group to sit, verify and sign scorecards. When you have handed your scorecard with 2 signatures to the committee person, you are considered to have left the scoring area and forfeit the right to change any incorrect information on your card.
