Scoring Format:

Stoke Play Format:  Tournament is 36 hole stroke play event for AJGA PBE & Golfweek. Players on final round will be paired according to score. Highest to lowest. Each foursome will contain two TJGT & OJGT team members.

Team Format:  Each team will go head to head for scoring purposes on the scoreboard.  The lowest five man total will win one point for the respective tour.   Each Captain has wild card picks and can replace any high score with a lower wild card score to win the team point. The most team points will win the Red River Team Cup.  TJGT leads the series 2 vs. 1.

On Saturday, at the conclusion of Round 1 at Dornick Hills, Nike will host a Demo Day to tryout the latest clubs that Nike has to offer.  Come our and enjoy Nike's Hospality.......Trying the Latest and Greatest

Rounds are $30.  Last year there were many college coaches on the

course  during the practice rounds.  It is a good idea if your schedule

permits to come early to play practice round. College Coaches will also

be on the range watching players hit balls/practice.

Course Set Up:  Boys:  Dornick Hills is a short, but tight course with very

challenging greens. The boys will play the tips.  The girls will play

apx. 6000 yds.

SpringHill Suites (Marriott) is the TJGT hotel. . The host hotel was switched from the previous years Hampton due to a lower rate, better service, breakfast and only FIVE MINS to Dornick HIlls CC. All rooms are suites.    

The hotel provides an upscale continental breakfast in the mornings.Complimentary Breakfast @ the Hotel includes:  Hot oatmeal, sausage

& eggs, fresh fruit salad, cold cereal, muffins & bagels.  Coffee, water, juices etc.

Saturday Nov. 1st.

TJGT will provide Two Nike golf shirts with two hats along with a dozen nike balls for each team member.   One shirt will be white and one will be darker color. We ask that each team member bring dark pants (black/navy blue) to wear with the white shirt, and khacki pants/shorts to wear with the darker shirt.

Team Members will be required to wear the team hats & shirts each day provided weather conditions permitting.

White TJGT Team Shirt/ Dark shorts or pants ( black or navy blue).  Dark TJGT Team Shirt/ Khacki pants/shorts.

TJGT Team members will recieve their tee gifts  by the scoreboard on Friday during practice rounds or you can get at the college coach q & a on friday evening or at registration before tournament play on Saturday morning.

TJGT will have face paint at the registration table near the scoreboard.  This is also a  big team competition similar to the Ryder Cup and AJGA Canon Cup.  Lots of our team members will put on the War Paint to show team spirit.   We are tied in the series: one win a piece for the Big

Red River Cup.  Lets Take the cup back for TJGT.  TJGT leads the series 2 vs. 1.

I) Format

Number of players:

            112 Total:  76 boys, 38 girls,  Per Team: Boys 38, Girls 18

 
Total Foursomes: 28   @ 10 min intervals.

 
Boys: 19 groups, Girls: 9 groups  14 per side.

Saturday: 0800 Start:   Sunday: 0800   Range Opens: 0700 Check with Dornick

 
Age divisions and numbers:

            Boys 12-18, Girls 12-18 Teams

 
            Each team will be composed of 5 players, just as in High School

            Boys 13-18 – 7 teams = 35 players  Three Wild Cards

            Girls 13-18 -  3 teams = 15 players  Three Wild Cards

 
      3  Wild Cards will be used to help any team to win team (head to head score) . Captain Discretion.

Point system

            1 point per team (Example: Boys 16-18, Texas A vs. Team Oklahoma A)    winner       awarded point based on 4 best scores. Each team can drop the highest score 1st  day & 2nd day.   Second Day: Pairings according to individual scores for Golfweek Ranked event.

            20 points total will be awarded. In case of tie see play offs

Team trophy will be kept Dornick Hills with the winning team name.

Individual Medalist: Top 5 Boys

Top 12-15 Girls Medalist/finisher

Team play off: Top Two Boys (Lowest two individual scores) of each team. Lowest Individual Score Wins.

II) Course

Practice Rounds, Friday cost $30.  Call pro shop to book tee times early.

Range balls included in price each day.

Spectators Carts fee 25.00

Lunch for players included and $8.00 for parents or spectators

Registration will be in front of the scoreboard . Players will receive  team color hats and two shirts provided by Nike. Players will also receive a dozen Nike Platinum Balls  provided by Nike as tournament gifts.  Players will be expected to wear the provided shirts each day depending on weather conditions.

Registration will start at 0700 on Saturday or you can register early at the scoreboard during practice rounds if you see one of the TJGT Staff.


   Please allow enough time to check in with registration table to ensure tour. staff know you are present  and you can make your tee time.
